How Dealer Velocity IQ handles information about the people who visit this site and talk to us. The dealership data our platform processes is covered separately, in the dealer data policy.
Effective July 2026. Last updated August 2026.
Dealer Velocity IQ LLC is a Florida limited liability company building Dealer Velocity One, an intelligence and orchestration layer for automotive dealerships. This policy explains what we do with personal information we collect through dealervelocity.ai and in the course of talking to prospective customers, partners and applicants.
In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Dealer Velocity IQ LLC. “You” means the person reading it.
Two things sit outside it.
Dealership platform data. When a dealership runs Dealer Velocity One, the platform processes information about that dealership’s customers: leads, deal structures, service visits, and in Velocity Credit, credit data. We handle that information on behalf of the dealership and under our agreement with it, not for our own purposes. How that works is set out in our dealer data policy at /dealer-data-policy/. If you are a consumer who bought or serviced a vehicle at a dealership and you want to know what that store holds about you, the store is the right place to ask, and our dealer data policy explains how we support them in answering.
Other companies’ websites. We link to third party sites. Their policies govern what they collect.
Information you give us. The walkthrough form asks for your name, your work email, your phone number if you choose to give it, your dealership or group name, its approximate size, and whatever you write in the message field. If you email or call us instead, we have whatever is in that message. If you apply for a job, we have your application and anything attached to it.
Information we collect automatically. When you load a page, our hosting and any analytics we run receive your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page you came from, and the date and time. This is ordinary web server behaviour and it happens before you interact with anything.
Information from other sources. If someone at your company refers you, or we meet you at an industry event, or we look up a publicly listed dealership address, we may hold that.
We do not ask for and do not want your social security number, your driver’s licence number, your financial account details or your consumer credit information through this website. Please do not put them in the message field.
We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes. The first is making the site work: keeping your session, remembering a preference, and protecting the contact form against automated abuse. Those are necessary, and you cannot turn them off without breaking the site. The second is understanding how the site is used in aggregate, so we can tell which pages are read and which are skipped.
You can refuse the second category. Your browser can also block or delete cookies on its own, and we honour a Global Privacy Control signal where our systems receive one.
We use the information described in section 3 to:
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in United States state privacy laws.
We do not use information collected through this website to train machine learning models. Whether and how dealership data is used to improve the platform is a different question, answered in section 11 of the dealer data policy.
Service providers. Companies that run parts of our operation on our instructions: hosting, email, the form and customer relationship system that receives it, analytics, and our professional advisers. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
Legal and safety. Where we are required to by law, subpoena or court order, or where we need to protect our rights, our people or the public. If we receive a demand for your information we will tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.
A change of ownership. If the company is acquired, merges, or sells the business or its assets, information held by the business would transfer as part of that. If that happens, the buyer remains bound by this policy for information collected under it, or you will be told before anything changes.
We do not sell your personal information to anybody, and we do not disclose it for anybody else’s marketing.
Contact form submissions and business correspondence retention period: Twenty four months from the last contact.
Server logs and analytics retention period: once the stack in section 4 is chosen.
After that, we delete it or de-identify it. We may keep information longer where we need it for a legal claim, an audit, or a legal obligation, and only for as long as that reason lasts.
The site and our systems run on Microsoft Azure. Access to information about prospective customers is limited to the people at this company who need it to do their work, and it is protected by multi-factor authentication. Traffic to and from this site is encrypted in transit.
We are a small, pre-launch company, and we would rather say plainly what we have than imply a certification we have not been through. We have no SOC 2 report and no ISO certification today. When we have one, it will be named here with its date and its scope, and you will be able to ask for the report.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia have some or all of these rights under their state’s law, and the list grows. We apply them to everybody who asks rather than checking your address first, because maintaining twenty versions of one process is how a process fails.
This is a business product sold to dealerships. The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anybody under sixteen. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.
We are a United States company, our systems run in United States Azure regions, and we serve dealerships in the United States. We are not currently set up to serve customers in the European Union or the United Kingdom, and this policy does not attempt to describe rights under their laws.
We will update this page when what we do changes. The effective date at the top says when the current version took effect. If a change matters to people who have already given us information, we will tell them directly rather than relying on them re-reading the page.
We keep prior versions, and can send you the one that was in effect on a given date if you ask.
Dealer Velocity IQ LLC collects mobile phone numbers when you provide them to us, including when you text our published business number or submit a form on this website. We use these numbers to reply to your inquiries and to provide customer support by text message.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Text messaging opt-in data and consent is never sold, rented, or shared with anyone.
We share mobile numbers with our messaging provider solely to deliver the messages you have requested. That provider may not use the information for any other purpose.
You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message from us.
