Module 07 · optional

Velocity Finance

Funding and F and I

Takes over once the customer has agreed to the deal. It reviews the credit profile and the approved structure, then recommends the lenders most likely to approve and fund it, on the best terms for the customer and the best outcome for the store.

What it does

Two approvals can be identical to the customer and worth $900 apart to you

Say two lenders both offer 5.99 percent for 72 months. One pays a flat, the other pays a reserve. The customer’s rate, term and payment are the same either way. The difference goes to the store, and the only reason it ever gets left on the table is that nobody had both numbers in front of them at the same moment.

Ranked on approval and on value

Which lender will fund it, and what the funding is worth once flats, reserve and the dealership's own policy are applied. Both questions answered on the same screen.

A pre-interview summary

The credit profile, the approved structure and the reasoning behind it, ready before the customer sits down. The finance manager is not reconstructing the deal from a printout.

Versioned lender knowledge

Every lender program carries the date it took effect and the date it expires. A recommendation made against an expired program is a recommendation made against nothing.

Product fit, prepared not pushed

Which products actually fit this customer and this deal, and which do not. A menu that recommends everything recommends nothing.

Brain

Take the credit union. The customer pays the same rate, the same term and the same payment either way, and the store keeps $940 more.

Illustrative product interface. Synthetic data, not customer data. Lender names, rates and compensation figures are invented for this mockup.

The same customer terms, a different outcome for the store

Both offers are identical to the customer: same rate, same term, same payment. The reasoning is shown in one sentence, the policy and compliance checks that had to pass are listed, and the weak product fit is marked as weak rather than quietly dropped.

Subject to dealership policy, compliance rules and final manager approval, in that order and every time.

What it holds

The surfaces this module provides

  • A pre-interview summary of the customer, the credit profile and the approved structure
  • Versioned lender and program knowledge, with effective and expiry dates on every program
  • Lender recommendations ranked on likelihood to fund and on value to the store
  • Product-fit preparation, with weak fits marked as weak
  • Policy and compliance gates checked before a recommendation is shown, not after
  • Auditable recommendations, with the reasoning shown and the funded outcome recorded
How it connects

The last mile of the deal, with the reasoning intact

By the time a deal reaches the F and I office it has passed through four hands. Finance is where the value of having kept the context finally shows up.

From

Velocity Desk

The approved structure arrives with the reason it was chosen still attached, and the routes that were considered and rejected.

From

Velocity Credit

The credit profile, the tier, and the program version each lender was judged against.

Here

Velocity Finance

The lender is chosen, the products are prepared, the F and I manager decides, and the funded outcome goes back on the timeline.

Boundary

Advisory only, with strict human approval and a complete audit trail. Every recommendation is subject to dealership policy and compliance rules, and the F and I manager makes the decision. The recommendation, the reasoning, the rule version, the approver and the funded outcome are all recorded.

The funded outcome is the number everything upstream gets scored against. It is why the last module in the chain matters to the first one.

Where this is today

Next in build

Finance follows the desk. The two are close relatives, and building the desk first means the structure and the routing logic exist before the module that has to defend them to a lender.
